Two owls are spotted hiding in plain sight: Can you find them?
Two wise owls show they’re no birdbrains when it comes to camouflage – because they’ve been caught hiding in plain sight on a dry stone wall.
Wildlife photographer Villager Jim snapped the pair when he saw them using an old wall and a barn as the perfect cover, SWNS reported.
The clever birds blend effortlessly into their surroundings: their gray and brown plumage blends perfectly with the masonry.

The photographer challenged people to find the little birds in a game he calls “Hunt the Little Owl”.
He recently captured the “undercover” owls while out for a walk in the village of Foolow in the Peak District, England.

The photographer – who has been capturing animals with his camera for 14 years – said the birds are creatures of habit and often return to previous perch points, as reported by SWNS.
He said, “It’s been since I named them all that it’s kind of made people really identify with finding them.”
“They are doing very well, the little owls – their population is increasing.”
He added: “They’re hard to spot. I have a trip that I do. It’s been built around creating a route around where certain birds are nesting. I’m guaranteed or almost guaranteed to catch them. see every day.”
He also said: “I hit the road every day, 365 [days a year], even on Christmas Day. It’s the best job in the world, I love it.”

He said he learns where the birds live or where they like to roost – “they like to stick to particular perches”.

He said of the birds: “Their official name is Little Owl. They are diurnal: they hunt day and night. You can see them by day. Their main diet is worms. Once you know where they happen to be, you keep looking around a round bump.

He also said: “They’re doing great, little owls – their population is growing.”
He said the area recently suffered a tornado, which “tumbled down” some trees – but “luckily that barn got away from him”.

“I’ve been running this as a business for 14 years,” the photographer said.
“I used to run a software company and unfortunately got sick with diabetes – and suddenly thought I wanted to do what I love,” he told SNWS.
“I fish for a catch rather than go on a fixed mission.”
“I was instantly hooked,” he also said. “Moving into my house…there was a bunny here and I just took my camera.”

He also notes on his website: “Photography is a way of life for me. [types of] weather…wind, rain, fog, snow from dawn to dusk, continuing this breathtaking shot that never fails to amaze, delight and mesmerize me.”
