We just went on a trip with the family and it was so much fun! I have a senior this year—and it makes me happy/sad to think that this might be our last vacation with him for awhile.—But, as you moms know, it makes me happy too—to see him growing and moving on!

Lana Isaacson, barely retired teacher, was looking for an adventure when she left the sunny shores of California and bought a house, sight unseen, in Castle Rock, Colorado. She'd thought the older home would make a great fixer-upper, until more and more problems started to suck all of her limited cash. But the worst of it wasn't the fact it was a money pit, the worst of it was that it got broken into two different times and one of the cops let it slip that one of the guys who grew up in the house was out of prison and looking for a hidden bag of cash. When her grumpy neighbor offers his guest bedroom as a refuge for a couple of nights, she tells him no. Until the alarm goes off, again, and she's left with no choice but to accept his help.
The weird thing, is that the more she finds out about the grumpy neighbor, the more she starts to like this man. And, when her life is directly threatened, she never would have imagined what her neighbor would do to save her life.
