Like a wilted leaf
I fell from the tree
of love,
And dropped down hard
on the cracked soil;
But I was still alive,
breathing…
Like a withered flower
I shrivelled up from
heartache,
And my shrunken petals
hit the dusty ground;
But I could still feel the pain.
Mother Earth then took me
in her embrace
and nursed me with care
As if I were her only child;
