I woke up with The Zombies’ This Will Be Our Year singing in my head. It’s now 7:14. I will have listened to Odyssey and Oracle twice by the time I’m done writing. Care Of Cell 44 is such a beautiful opener and sentiment… a love song to the incarcerated one they miss and can’t wait to see again. I listened to a lot of Zombies in the early 2000’s midst of an ill-fitted Merc suit Mod revival. The link between The Creation & The Kinks to The Jam to even Nation Of Ulysses made a lot of sense to me. ...
