Embarking on My Authorial Adventure

Welcome to my very first blog post on Ink and Shadows! My name is Patrick Moore (not that one), and I'm excited to share my journey as I embark on the challenge of writing my first novel, "Shadow's Grasp." As a communications professional with a background in writing, editing, speaking, and technical and promotional skills, I've spent most of my life honing my craft in various fields. My experience as a creative, innovative presenter, teacher, instructor, trainer, and coach has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the power of storytelling and the impact it can have on people.

Throughout my life, I've always had a passion for writing, and it's something that has stayed with me as I've navigated my career. While I've written countless articles, reports, and presentations, writing a full-length novel has always felt like a daunting yet exciting challenge that I couldn't resist. So, here I am, ready to put pen to paper and see if I can turn my lifelong love of writing into a captivating and immersive story.

"Shadow's Grasp" is an urban noir fantasy novel that follows the story of Ethan Cross, a mage with a dark past who wields the power of darkness magic. The world of my novel is one filled with mystery, magic, and intrigue, where the lines between good and evil blur, and the protagonist must confront his own demons as he battles external forces.

As I embark on this literary adventure, I hope to share with you the highs and lows, the challenges and triumphs, and the insights and lessons learned along the way.
