FORTUNE AND GLORY POST-MORTEM

Hey!

I thought we would celebrate the release of FORTUNE AND GLORY: THE MUSICAL! last week with a follow up THANK YOU and a little bit of behind-the-scenes commentary.

First of all, to all of our new subscribers: Hello! Thank you for subscribing. Very cool of you. For those of you who subscribed from day one waiting for this day... Thank YOU! You got us here. It’s been a lovely week. Thanks to our friends at The Hollywood Reporter for breaking this hot, hot, hot story of a middle aged writer screw up. Thanks to everyone who gave this story and newsletter a little bit of sunshine. It’s much appreciated.

I think my favorite part of the whole week was how many of you were triggered the eff out by my reference of the DC Comics Sea World Spectacular of the 1970s.

I posted this picture on my social media, the same one I sent artist Bill Walko for reference and, man, it really got to some of you. Totally adorable. I celebrate you.

So yes, I sent him reference, he drew it, and we covered it up with Post-it Note jokes.

And for those of you who weren’t around. Yes. This is absolutely real. Soak that in. This is what superheroes were in the pop culture in the 70s and 80s.

You want more? I made reference to a NBC Roast of the SUPERHEROES special.

Here!! This aired on network television prime time.

And, at the time, I was so happy I could burst.

Anyway, any time I can, I’m going to drop in with an extra newsletter to accentuate the comic experience with some commentary and or fun reference for all.
