Ghoul premieres Friday night at 9pm EST on Chiller. If you live in the UK, Canada, or anywhere else without access to Chiller, there will eventually be a DVD release. If early chatter is any indication, we may give Chiller a bit of a ratings bump tomorrow night. We’ve certainly raised awareness of their brand. But more importantly, I hope you enjoy the film.

I feel at this point, I probably shouldn’t comment on it anymore, except to say that I like the movie, and I think the filmmakers did a remarkable job at staying true to the spirit and the message of the book. If you like the film, as I do, then make sure to let them know. If you don’t like the film, then remember that the book is still there on your shelf, and you can re-read that instead. But I’m pretty certain that most of you will indeed enjoy it.

Regardless of whether or not you can watch the movie tomorrow night, I hope you’ll join us on Twitter. Please remember to use the #GhoulOnChiller hashtag in your Tweets, so that this big community of ours can keep track of the entire conversation (the hashtag is already busy, thanks to a game authors Robert Swartwood and Nicholas Kaufmann started on Twitter this afternoon).

If it’s any consolation to those of you without Chiller, I also don’t have Chiller. Comcast here in Central PA doesn’t carry Chiller (which is odd, since Chiller and Comcast are owned by the same people). So, although I’ve seen the film about a dozen times, Mary and I will have to trek down to Baltimore tomorrow night and watch it in Meteornotes’ living room (he has promised to feed us, as well).

Just as I won’t be commenting much more on the film itself, neither will I be linking to every review or commentary. I will link to this article and this article from my local papers, because that’s their picture of me above, and I’d feel guilty using it without giving them credit.

So… I hope you enjoy Ghoul. Even if you don’t, I thank you for watching it, and for supporting it. More films are on the way. As I write this, it’s just been announced that casting has begun on Dark Hollow, with Shane Rangi attached to play Hylinius. Castaways and Darkness On The Edge of Town are in the works. Filming begins later this summer on Fast Zombies Suck. Who Shot Santa (based on my story The Siqqusim Who Stole Christmas) is back-burnered but still very much a go. And I’m in talks with some folks about an adaptation of Dead Sea.

I hope you’ll join us on Twitter tomorrow night. Looking forward to fellowship with you all.

UPDATE: Here’s a free prequel I wrote, over on Chiller’s website. It takes place in the film’s continuity, rather than that of the novel.
