Love this. Impact of Civil War veteran tunes, hymns, and popular music hall tunes (including Gilbert & Sullivan and other "Opera House" favorites of 1890s) on American Midwest culture is an important theme in my current fiction story project, so very much appreciate this information and looking forward to more!
