Through various means, women are often given a certain idea of femininity, which is not always depicted as strong. "Athletic" is often equated with masculinity. And we all know how a woman who acts assertively is generally looked upon. It isn't always easy to shake these societal (mis)conceptions. Women are inherently strong. Strength is a wonderful feminine quality. But we are often made to feel as though we have to be careful as to how we display that strength. One thing is true: no matter how our strength shines through, we must welcome it, embrace it, and appreciate its underlying beauty.
