Gratitude and Introductions

I’ve just completed my first give away as a brand-new author, and I’’d like to say congratulations to Michele of South Dakota, Isabella of Texas, and Tracy of Florida. Your books were mailed by my agent yesterday. I truly hope you enjoy them!
I would also like to thank Mike Myers of the Radio Hope show, and Timothy Pratt of the Conversations After Dark podcast for having me on to discuss my book! The amount of love I have received from these two broadcasts is immeasurable!
With gratitude thus rendered, allow me to introduce myself. My name is P.R. Infidel. I called myself Proud Infidel for years, for no other reason than I am a GWOT veteran and thought it sounded cool. Then I realized that pride has led us to nowhere good, so changed my name to P.R, Infidel, a reminder of the name I’ve had in the past. It is also short for Patricia Ray, the new one I have assumed.
My work is very niche and somewhat controversial. Some call it Christian, some call it conservative, some frankly don’t know what to call it. I can say that Orwell fans will love it; Obama fans won’t. I make no appeals or apologies to either; read at your own risk.
To understand me, think of the artist Sia, not because I can sing. I can’t, but I’m very much like her in how I choose to present myself. You’ll notice that Sia wears eccentric wigs and bows that cover most of her face. She is also never featured in any of her videos; instead Sia’s dancer Maddie Ziegler interprets and carries her message to the world.
Sia may do this because she doesn’t want to be mauled by the Paparazzi in public, which is likely true. But I think there’s another reason: Sia believes that her music is what’s important, not her. In a similar way, my work is what’s important, not me. The message needs to shine, not me. I’ve never been good at shining anyway.
Therefore, dear reader, it’s up to you. Shine for me, will you? Like Sia’s dancer, carry my message and present it to others. I don’t’ know if we’ll be successful in saving this sinking ship we call America, but at least we can tell God we tried.
I will update this blog weekly to biweekly barring unforeseen circumstances. Until my next entry, be strong, and infidel on!
