Adam and Eve

I received an informative typewritten letter this week from my second cousin, ROSSANA LUCERO-LOGSDON who was in fact born in Torrance, CA on May 30, 1961. Torrance is a hop-skip from where I currently live in Marina Del Rey, CA! She lived in Washington State when she wrote the letter but now lives in Coos Bay, Oregon. I loved the detailed information she gave about her family line. I quickly added the information to my Ancestry.com Family Tree. She signed her letter as a '3rd cousin' but she is actually my second cousin. I've confirmed it:

Dorothy Rua sent me a cute Valentine’s Card. She made a point of writing ‘Have a fun day/weekend.’

 

Alan scribbled a photocopy Valentine note that included a photo of us in Hong Kong.

He wrote ‘Hong Kong was ONE of our great moments in time. More to Come,

My first cousin (once removed), James Patrick Markus IV, sent me a postcard from Tombstone, Arizona of all places while he was there with his wife, Fae. He wrote: 

Michael, 

We’re here in AZ, visiting Fae’s parents.

Thought we’d drop you a line and say HI.

Hope things are good.

And my first cousin (once removed) from Santa Fe, NM, Cayetano Leyba, wrote me a list of addresses.

There are so many names and children and children of children. I’m overwhelmed. While I have a better overall picture of my entire family (all four sides: ARMIJO, LUCERO, GARCIA and LEYBA) it’s just amazing the legacy of growth that has amassed. It’s still growing. It’s hard to keep up with. It makes me feel good to have a grasp on who is who and who is where; however, in the end, I realize if I go far enough back that we are--in fact--ALL related. I may as well start with Adam and Eve. It would be perhaps easier. It’s funny, but true.
