Behind the scenes...
The author life is not a glamorous one, guys!
I've been busy behind the scenes creating graphics, searching for the PERFECT image for Odium VIII, doing boring tax stuff and just generally doing the housekeeping side of Claire C. Riley. I hate this side of things, but it does feel good when I'm back on top of it again and it's just a quick weekly maintenance.
So what am I writing?
Odium VIII is well under way and I'm loving the plot. The character development on this book has sent me through the ringer a little... it's been an emotional and frustrating journey for all. Not least of all Nina and Mikey. *wipes sweat from brow* but I think we're all through to the other side and are back in zombie ass-kicking territory! Hurray!
I'm also about 25k in on a new thriller that has me all kinds of excited. This is one messed up heroine... if you can actually call her that.
Eli Constant and I are also on our way with Red Eye season 4. I know, I know, it's been a long time coming, guys. Covid screwed us but we're getting back on the saddle with it. I am SO excited to be back in this world with her. Eli is literally the absolute best writing partner. Our words just flow so well together and I am always so excited to see what she's written. I think you're going to love this final season *insert anxious face*
Okay, I need more coffee and my eldest kid is currently making me chocolate chip and banana muffins so I think it's time for a snack break too.
