The Storyteller
Stories have been my obsession since early infancy. Seriously, my poor Mom, I don't know how many times she rewatched Hercules and The Pebble and the Penguin, or the number of times she reread I Love You Stinky Face at bedtime.
The act of curling and reforming reality into an entirely new narrative, and creating whole new people, creatures, and adventures to fit into this newly fabricated world, has and always will be a fascination I'll never get over.
And recently, after a deep and loving conversation with my Fiance, I've had quite a perspective shift on my outlook as a storyteller. A title I don't take lightly; my true passion.
Through the media's obsession, and society's high bar and judgmental looks, I may have gotten lost in the thick fog of monetization. At the core of who I am, and who I've always been, I am a creative individual who loves to bring a concept to life, who takes pride in sharing, and who loves the invention of stories and books. When I close my eyes and think about the first stories that were told in this world and how they have evolved now, it's insanely cool. And I think that wholesome and very human part, the art and the act of sharing a story, has been muddled for me. And I want to shift that, in my own optimistic and radical way.
Whether it's a story you've already written, one you can speak out loud, or one you haven't shared yet but maybe someday, know that your stories will always hold value in this world. Humans need stories; it's what makes us who we are.

I've been a lover of stories and storytelling for as long as I can remember, and I feel so wholesomely mind-blown that there's a place in this wild-wacky internet world where we can celebrate just that. Stories! Books! Adventures! All through the power of words, how crazy is that?
In this blog, I'll be reviewing stories I've enjoyed, updating on my current works, and sending out good good vibes to all the bookworms and wordsmiths! ...more
