paperbacks out!
The paperback edition of The Waiting Room is published in America on May 1. That's the official publication date anyway - you can already buy it from Barnes & Noble - and Brodmaw Bay is published in paperback in the States on July 1.
This is the first time books I've written have been available in the paperback format and at realistic prices in America and naturally I'm pretty excited about the fact.
I'm all in favour of Kindle and the like and a big fan too of audiobooks; but almost nobody buys hardback books and if you're not published in paperback, you're on a hiding to nothing as an author struggling to make a name.

I loved both The Waiting Room and Broadmaw Bay, I wish you loads of success with them in paperback in America. I'm sure our friends across the Atlantic will love them as much as us Brits do!

I've pre-ordered both in paperback via Amazon; now I need to get paperback copies of The Magdalena Curse and House of Lost Souls, of which I'm totally enamoured.
Curse seems to divide opinion. I enjoyed Mrs Mallory's company when I was writing it, but she's not to everyone's taste. It's a shame THOLS hasn't been published in paperback on your side of the Atlantic, though. The first (and only) paperback print run here sold out. I don't even have a copy myself.
I'm very thankful for Kindle; but I grew up with print books-back when paperbacks in the States could be had for 25 cents! There's something about holding an actual book and turning the pages.I understand you about THOLS; I've tried to pick up paperbacks by Sarah Rayne too, and although they seem to be readily available in German, not so in English over here.

I recommend The Magdalena Curse first, then House of Lost Souls-imho:)

This is great news....knowing books are available in paperback makes them much more accessible for the classes. I'm eager to teach The Waiting Room again, it was very well-received by seminar members and gives us a lot to contemplate historically, spiritually, culturally. And, I look forward to presenting a seminar on Brodmaw Bay later this year!
