But he couldn't touch her, had to follow her rules. "I'm from Owen Sound, and I visit my parents as often as possible. I have no siblings, but my two cousins are like brothers to me, and also my best friends."

She remained silent, studying him with an intense stare. Perhaps now was the time to get answers for his assignment. "Okay, now I have some questions for you."

Nodding, she chewed on her bottom lip, reminding him of how sweet they'd tasted.

"Why do you still live down here when your family doesn't?"
