a thought on reviews

About a year ago I stopped looking at reviews on Goodreads. Mainly because people can be just mean-hearted. I mean, if I don't like a book, do I really think saying so will deter others from reading it? And why would I do that in the first place? Everyone deserves to experience a book and decide for themselves. I guarantee someone else will absolutely love a book I hate and vice versa. It's the way of the universe.
