More about the unique twin barrows on Adsdean Down on our page, from the free ebook "Secrets of the High Woods" about the South Downs LiDAR project from a few years back.. These barrows are unlike any other of the approximately 250 examples known nationally. Two bell barrows of near uniform dimensions which merge together to form a conjoined or twinned monument. The surrounding ditch encircles both barrows to make a single platform for both mounds. Adjacent, and to the right of the linked barrows, is a smaller bowl barrow, suggesting possibly a family group?
