Synopsis:Convinced she's a part of the witness protection program, sixteen-year-old Jewel Rose is shuffled around the globe with her family like a pack of traveling gypsies. After arriving at lucky home twenty-seven, she stumbles upon a mysterious boy with magical powers claiming to be her guardian . . . and warning of imminent danger. Opening line:Living in the witness protection program didn't make me feel so much protected as it made me feel cursed. Yeah, that makes me want to read this like right now!
Shannon's favorite line:  Hard to pick just one, but here's one I definitely like: "A spark ignited inside my body spreading warmth throughout, and I closed my eyes a moment, willing every contour of his face and luscious lips to be implanted in my mind forever... just in case."  Wow! Awesome!
If you could be any character from the story, who would you be?I'd like to be Jewel. I mean, there are some crazy times that she goes through that I'd like to fast forward on past, LOL, but I like the cool things that happen to her so much that I choose her.
