Stages of Twin Flame
My spiritual awakening happened 5 years ago and along the way, I found there are several stages within a Twin Flame Journey. Many people think soulmates and twin flames are the same thing, but it isn’t. Soulmates are usually a happy and romantic connection, but not always, and it is someone that you share a natural and easy relationship with. We can have multiple soulmates within a lifetime.
A Twin Flame is a journey that is for individual soul growth, which is challenging. We have incarnated multiple lifetimes. Masculine and feminine energies need to be balanced, which can lead you to become a Divine Feminine (DF) or Divine Masculine (DM). Your twin reflects to you childhood wounds and adult traumas that you need to work on. This mirroring of core wounds can trigger and spiral you. It often leads to many dark nights of the soul. There comes a point when you have to decide whether you will put the shadow work into your individual soul healing, which allows you to progress through each stage.
Search online and you will find 7-10 stages mentioned. Stages I consider part of my journey are:
1) recognizing your twin
2) awakening spiritually
3) being attracted magnetically
4) being tested
5) experiencing a dark night of the soul
6) running/chasing
7) being separated
8) surrendering the connection
9) releasing attachment to outcome
These stages took four years to get through, and I admit the last stage is the hardest. Many people include union as the last stage in the journey, but I purposefully don’t. True union can only happen when both DF and DM have mostly healed and balanced energies. Unfortunately, most Divine Feminines are usually the ones who awaken first and step up to the plate to start healing. It is painful to face the darkness within your soul. 3D union isn’t common.
Because of the mirroring that happens between the masculines and feminines, you have to be willing to face the negative traits within yourself. It is among the hardest work I’ve ever done; yet, it is the most fulfilling.
When I started this journey, I didn’t love myself. How can others love us when we don’t love ourself? The divine love I felt from my counterpart allowed me to finally love myself. My hope, whether you are a twin flame or not, is that you heal and love yourself.
