Life After DVDs, Cable, & Satellite Subscriptions

DVDs are too easily scratched. Cable/Satellite television bills are too high and the networks want you to watch their shows on their schedule not yours. It's your television, shouldn't it work on your schedule?  A few years ago I decided I was going to be the boss of my televisions and since 2008 our family hasn't had a subscription to cable or satellite and we've managed just fine.
