I don’t usually explore New Hampshire trails outside the White Mountains unless I have a very specific reason for doing so. I had a bit of time to kill before getting dinner with my friend in Manchester coming back down from the Whites so I opted to hit up Franklin Falls. This is a very nice area for hiking, biking, and running with many trails. I tried to stick to most of the non-windy biking trails as it was getting dark.
In the woods, there were steep curvy drops along the mountain bike trails which would have been really fun to ride down, not so much on foot.
Nonetheless, these trails are quite nice and worthy of exploring. I would say they are definitely more suitable for mountain biking off the beaten path. But you can get a good amount of miles in these trails with some decent elevation gain.
Total Time: 39 mins
Total Distance: ~4.33 miles
Total Elevation Gain: 446 feet
