Accountability Check 1

I need to be writing more articles regarding my journey, partially as accountability and as a form of educating others. I admit it has not been an easy ride.
This past weekend, my husband and I did our introduction and civil ceremony. As of Saturday, I am now a married woman y’all!! Yay!! The proper wedding is next month. So excited.
I have had moments where I get cocky and just act on autopilot. This pops up whenever Mum and I discuss important stuff. I always think I know enough. The more I learn, the more terrified and intimidated I become. How many of you have had that issue before?
Don’t get me started on those gossip folks who expect you to be a certain way for their personal amusement. One has only one life to live, so why stoop low and bend backward for people that do not contribute to your life in any shape or form?
I allowed the opinions of others to define me for decades. Now, it is time to reshape that narrative and reclaim my life for once. It has not been easy reaching this point. There have been tears shed, loads of headaches, and nervous jitters. But in the end, everything was in place.
I had a discussion with a friend regarding setting up my company and brand. I have already started part of the work by putting myself out there on social media. I have two separate Instagram accounts now, one for personal use and one for my virtual assistant business. Spoiler alert: I am a total goofball and tend not to be a serious individual. You can’t be too regal every time, folks!!
I also have a TikTok account because I wanted to try something new. Someone recently asked me questions about virtual assistant stuff and I am creating content for that.
I am also working on a proper content calendar to help in the content creation aspect of things. Unlike most virtual assistants, my journey is a little different. Will shed more light on that as time goes on.
I also applied to a company for short story writers and got shortlisted. Currently awaiting the next step, which could be an interview. Even if I do not make the cut, who says I can not develop one of those short story ideas into a web novel or a normal novel? Let us wait and see how everything goes. Fingers crossed.
