Holy crap! I just spotted that my series 3 fix-it fic Vena Cava just surpassed 60,000 hits as of today!! That’s just staggering! Of my (current) 90 posted stories in this fandom, this is only the second one to surpass 60K hits and only one of five to have surpassed 50K! That’s absolutely enormous! Someone told me once that ao3 doesn’t count multiple hits from the same IP address, but I have no idea whether or not that’s true. Even if this is only six of you who have each read this fic 10,000 times, I’m not less bowled over?? :P So either way, huge thanks to any of you who have read this story, even more thanks if you also liked it, haha! This one was the third of the rapid-fire fix-its I was churning out back in early 2014 when series 3 had just aired and everything in me had to fix it NOWWW. I mean, I basically didn’t stop writing fix-its for series 3 until within weeks of series 4 airing three years later, so… But Vena Cava has always been one of those stories that holds just a slightly extra special place in my heart, so it means a lot to me that so many of you out there have read it and left comments on it and emailed me about it and come back to it over the years. I posted this fic nearly nine years ago now and the fact that there are still people reading it for the first time is absolutely amazing.
