Cooler (and shorter) days ahead

Hello, Write Edge readers! As I compose this blog post, the day has fallen headlong into pitch blackness outside and it isn’t even 6 p.m. yet! I don’t know about you, but when Daylight Saving Time ends, it takes me a week or so to readjust to driving around in the early darkness. I guess that’s what makes reading and writing such excellent activities. They’re not dependent on the time of day — or year! — to do with full gusto.

I’ve posted my short fiction for you. This week it’s a micro short, so no preview here on the main blog. However, you can check it out now on The Write Edge Writing Workshop!

In the middle of the week, I’ll share a new review for you. Travel writer Sandy Bornstein has a new book out called 100 Things to Do in Boulder Before You Die. This Wednesday I’ll let you know if any (or all!) of the 100 have enticed me to run to Colorado. Find that review on The Write Edge Bookshelf!

On Thursday we go back to The Bookshelf for my second installment of Thursday R.E.A.D.s. This past week I revealed that I’m diving deeper into Fairy Tale by Stephen King. For this week’s analysis, I’m going to talk about what I thought of the book as an Editor. Find the start of this latest R.E.A.D.s (and previous ones) on The Write Edge Bookshelf!

Finally, at the end of the week, it’s back to Instagram posts and bits and pieces of my writing (and non-writing) life. Check out previous photos with my handle, @EktaRGarg, or on my Facebook author page.

If you’re a writer and are participating in NaNo, I’m cheering you on from the sidelines! If you’re not doing NaNoWriMo, maybe you could start brainstorming some ideas for a new writing project. (And if you’re a writer but have no clue whatsoever about NaNo, check it out here.)

Take care of each other, readers, and perform an act of kindness for a stranger this week!

E.R.G.
