Should You Judge a Book by its Cover?

 

I have to admit that I was VERY doubtful about this cover when I first saw it. Jason, the hero, is supposed to be an enormous, brawny veteran, almost scary looking. Here’s a passage where he’s described:

Missy looked behind Ashley. “Who’s that?”

Ashley glanced back and realized that Jason still stood on the sidelines, waiting for her to be finished with her conversation. Titan stood beside him. And was Jason leaning on the dog a little?
