A storm is coming…

My latest novel The Tempest launches on November 4th this year and is available now for preorder! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BHL8ZZKW/

Synopsis: Marc and Emma are on the graveyard shift onboard the Sycorax, an interstellar spacecraft bound for New Haven, a colony world fifty light years from Earth. Eighteen thousand colonists lie in suspended animation, awaiting a new life around another star. For the crew of the Sycorax, interstellar flight is boring—that is until they run into a tempest. Before long, they find themselves on a crippled spacecraft falling in toward a black hole, but that’s the least of their problems…

The Tempest is a tribute to Shakespeare’s final play and explores similar themes while weaving some of his dialogue into the narrative. It includes references to the 1950s classic sci-fi film Forbidden Planet and Michael Crichton’s Sphere, both of which were influenced by Shakespeare’s work.

Pedro Benetton Ordered! Peter, I'm a huge fan of your books, I've read almost all of them (currently reading Generation of Vipers, and Clowns is my next). The first book I've read was Wherever Seeds May Fall, I saw the synopsis on Amazon and just HAD to read it. It was so amazing I signed up for Kindle Unlimited just to read all of your First Contact books. I bought a couple and now that I just ordered the book by the Unlimited subscription it got me thinking. Do you get more money from a complete read in Kindle Unlimited or from a regular e-book purchase?
BTW, I was planning on canceling KU once I finished your books, but you keep lauching them, which it's awesome! I had a fear of reading a lot of versions of the same story, but no, each and everyone is very original and very plausible. Amazing work!

Peter Cawdron Hi Pedro,

First, thank you for supporting independent science fiction.

Although I get less income per book from KU, I love it. For me, it's been a godsend as it allows readers to pick up any of my books without any fuss. Also, it means they gain access to a whole host of other great indie scifi authors like Nathan Hystad and Ralph Kern, etc. So I see it as a virtual community library that helps lift up obscure authors like myself.

I've got at least 25 books planned in the First Contact series and try to launch one every 3-4 months. The goal is for each to be unique and insightful. The Tempest is a lot of fun because it has actual dialogue from Shakespeare's play woven into the narrative. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Cheers,
Peter
