Launch Party Invitation Fail

Or, watch me give birth to a book in front of my closest friends, family, and kind strangers.

I was going to nix invitations for my launch party and do that Facebook and Paperless Post thingy. But when I got this CRAZY email from Vistaprint, I thought A MILLION % OFF!? I NEED INVITATIONS NOW.

And I did what any other Latin woman presented with a SALE would do-- I caved.

I uploaded Fancy Design #1, which I created a few weeks ago (just in case). It's a lovely design. It's blue. It has my cover. It has dates. But because the LAST event isn't finalized, I wanted to leave the time blank so I could write it in when I knew more. CRAZY SALE LADY TOOK OVER and I created Fancy Design #2.

I was so close to check-out when I realized a SLIVER of text was outside the "approved" margin. So I went back and had to re-upload the image.

Only, I uploaded the wrong image. The original one. Fancy Design #1.

See here.

Moral of the story: 1. double proof. even when you think you did it, do it again. 2. don't order things on sale at 5 A.M. after an 8 hour shift.3. don't worry so much. your launch party will be fine! with/without invitations. people will get there.
Also, you are ALL invited to my parties. Starting with Books of Wonder on May 1st @ 6 PM. Stay tuned for updates!
