Okay, so there is no fireworks, ticker tape parade planned or even a one man band booked. There's just this blog, letting you know that my old author Facebook page (May it rest in peace. Thanks for nothing Monterey update) has gone to that frozen eternal, no longer able to be accessed, at least by me, technological wasteland known as the Facebook unused graveyard.
Instead I have launched a new, and yes, for want of a better word, improved facebook author website.
Come one, come all. For all the latest publication news but stay for the snarky sarcasm. Plus thrilling editing updates along the lines of... red pen! Red Pen!!! My kingdom for a red pen.
https://www.facebook.com/JaneCousinsW...Oh, and whilst I'm here I'll give you a little editing update on To Goad A Goddess. After my first pass I loved it, I hated it, I laughed, I winced, I wanted to throw it away, I couldn't believe what a talented author I am... so just the usual.
I've now completed my second pass. Where I print it out and read it backwards chapter by chapter. This generally highlights a lot of character motivation and plot line issues and gaps - of which there was enough of them to be annoying. That big plot line twist of mine definitely needed some tweaking.
Okay, so now I'm onto my third pass. This is where I grab random chapters and read them out loud. Why? Mainly to ensure the dialogue flows and sounds normal. So off I go for pass number three.
And yes, there is a four, five, a break to get my head cleared and then, fingers crossed, a sixth and final walk through. No, I don't have a publication date as yet, I'll let you know as soon as I do.
Oh, and I'll be contacting my cover artist to start working on bringing Elijah into the flesh. Expect to see the cover debut on... where else but my NEW facebook page in a few weeks time. See, I knew there was another reason for you to join me over there.
May all your reads be five star fantastic
