Who, what… when?

Hello gorgeous people. It feels like ages since I`ve touched base. Mainly because I have been on the most glorious of holidays.
You know my back story, right? Major car accident 4 years ago, followed by Covid and mixed in with that, breast cancer. So to say I needed a holiday would be an understatement.
My travels have led me to the UK, France and Atlanta (Georgia) - where I have been soaking up the summer sun whilst catching up with family.
I did set myself one task these holidays, to re-read my Southern Sanctuary series.

Why? Because I realised upon finishing the first draft of book 14; To Goad A Goddess, that I was feeling a little disconnected from the world I had created. And prior to commencing the edit process for it I wanted to ensure that I was on the right path.

Essentially give myself a refresher course on all things Southern Sanctuary. And it has proven not only an immensely useful experience but has reignited my passion for the series. As, I said, the last 4 years have been rather tough.
But as I read I am happy to report that I fell in love with the Sanctuary and all the characters I had created once more.
All the little wacky foibles about the world that I don’t write down but hang out in my head came roaring back. And yes, it does get crowded in there.
I even had a glimmer of who will be starring in book 15 and one of the secondary storylines that will be featured.
No doubt you would like a hint. Hmmm, okay. Babies. Not enough? Well you know how competitive Gaia can be. Let`s just say she will be going all out to try an out-mother Hadleigh. And don’t forget Nell is due to give birth any day. How will Drum cope in the delivery room? Not well I suspect.

So I am 50% of the way through re-reading book 13, To Kiss A Kringle. And I have 9 days left of my holiday. A few more days floating on Lake Lanier and another trip or two to Marshalls before I will be heading home to Australia, where hopefully Spring will have nudged winter on its way.

My schedule for the rest of the year - start editing Book 14. Publish the darn thing. Yes, yes, I will give you a heads up on the date when I have the foggiest. I need to recreate my Facebook page. You lose access to the darndest things when you update your browser.
Then I shall start writing book 2 of the Vexatious Valkyries series. New working title at the moment is - A Demon Is Forever.

Feel free to contact me if you have any queries or questions. You can find me here on Goodreads or Twitter.

Hoping all your reads are five star fabulous

Thank you. Between quaffing lots of champagne in France. And now shopping in the USA, interspersed with floating about on the nearby lake quaffing lots of white wine - I believe I have attained Nirvana.
