Project "Live Or Drown"

So, Greater Chennai Corporation’s Climate Change Action Plan has finally seen fit to declare that 16% Of Chennai Will Be Under Water By 2100. I'm sure they have admirable plans in place, but will anyone finally listen to my ideas of using the vast ocean-space itself to build a combination of free-floating cities, underwater ones, and everything in between? And large-scale seaweed farms, which have proven to soak up atmospheric carbon? And floating roads (which have already been done and tested), and aquatic electric vehicles for transportation? Taking up ocean space won't infringe on national territories – we'd only be expanding not invading. Given the Climate Emergency, it is the only real way to keep lakhs of people from suffering by century's end, and at the same time setting new global benchmarks. By the time the waters rise – and they will rise – we'll have two slices of the same city, Chennai Metropolis and Chennai Aquapolis. Mass transition and mass adaptation are smarter and more humane than mass displacement and mass migration. Don’t look at me like that, I didn’t start the fire!
[goes back to gaming, reading, writing, watching stuff, and generally being ignored].
