Published in 2019 Nonfiction. Every now and then, I need some motivation to keep writing. Although this book is subtitled: A Navy SEAL’s Guide to Beating Adversity and Finding Success, the contents can apply to anyone. The author had divided the book into three sections with the first one helping the reader identify obstacles. The second section involves the reader getting out of his or her own way, and the last one is finding success. His principles are simple, but not always easy to implement. But sometimes, we are our own worst enemy.
The book is short and to the point. While SEAL training is used as an example of facing obstacles, it also uses stories of other people, who aren’t SEALs and never have been. The list includes people from Walt Disney to Bill Bowerman, the founder of Nike. Interesting people with interesting stories. And they all had obstacles to overcome before they found success.
So, it’s back to writing for me. I’ll keep going.
