The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers by J. R. R. Tolkien

The Two Towers, the second book in The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J. R. R. Tolkien continues Frodo's journey toward Mordor. Now, separated from his companions, except for Sam and a strange little creature named Gollum, Frodo is still trying to get the ring to Mount Doom. But he can't fully trust Gollum. And when he meets a strange ranger named Faramir, he isn't sure what to make of the guy and his friends. Meanwhile, the rest of the fellowship is broken apart and strung out across Middle Earth, working to do what they can to stop Sauron from taking over the world. But will they be successful, or will Sauron destroy everything good in the world? The Two Towers was published in 1954.
