Hunger Games and dystopian fiction

So, I caught the movie over the weekend. I had already read the trilogy, and I think if you see the movie without having read the books, you're short-changed. The movie couldn't really delve into the characters and a few got short shrift in the movie. Regardless, the cast was great and the pacing good.

Having said that, here're my thoughts on dystopian fiction.
