Robert Micallef There's something existentially satisfying about a story that features a person thrown into a situation where their past is irretrievable. They must make the mature decision (or suffer needlessly) by doing whatever good they can in the situation they've been thrown. I'm 63, I live alone and sometimes it's a struggle not to be mired in regret, and then I remember some of your stories (like Sleepover, Inhibitor, and now, Things to do in Deimos). So many thanks for bolstering this reader's courage.
