Crazy as it seems, Script Frenzy is not an April Fools Day hoax or joke

I won't link to where I saw this to protect the innocent but there was a forum thread recently asking if Script Frenzy and the whole challenge to write 100 pages of a script in a month was just an April Fools joke. The posters were worried that they would be falling for this gag big time if they signed up for this "fake contest."

Well let me take this moment to assure you that Script Frenzy is a very real contest and that it isn't some kind of trick designed to catch fans of NaNoWriMo
