Governments and the police recently came up with a brilliant scheme for getting rid of crime. They would pretend that it was not happening.
This fantasy was beautifully summed up by Anthony Blair���s 2007 farewell speech to Parliament, when he wafted off to become one of the super-rich. He had a great deal of nerve anyway.
