Eragon Disney

Eragon Disney

And yes, I’m extremely excited for what the future holds. At the moment, I can’t go into details—it’s still early days with regard to this project—but I can say that I’m very pleased with the team I’m working with at 20th Television, Disney Branded ...

Lara This is sooo exciting! I generally can't keep up with all the series I'd like to watch and that usually overwhelms me so I don't watch anything in the end... But this one, omg, this one's gonna be an exception! And it just gave me a nudge to reread the books... For the 10th time, approximately XD

Jennifer Awesome news and I'd love to get to see it but not everybody can do streaming platforms :( I'm on a very tiny bandwidth limit where I live due to being in the country :( I'll have to wish and hope it comes to DVD but most streaming platforms seem to rarely release anything on DVD.

Marie I can’t say I didn’t think the movie was bad, just disappointing in regards to the series itself. My niece had never read the books and loved the movie, so I suppose it’s all a matter of perspective.

That being said, I am so excited for this! I have been a fan since I first picked up Book 1 and I’ve been right there for any new development involving the story. If he’s co-writing AND producing, then I have high hopes for this series. It’s his story, and I don’t think he’d allow it to be veered completely off course, or else he wouldn’t have a part in the process.

Sure, there’s a possibility of things added to the show that weren’t in the books (Easter eggs, maybe?) and vice versa, but he wants to stay true to his story. And I personally believe a series is better than a movie. For one thing, it’s not edited for time because it can be picked up in the next episode. You get to experience Eragon’s (or Roran’s/Arya’s/Angela’s, etc.) adventures, and the episodes give you time to learn many of the characters. Plus, there’s more than enough material to keep it going for quite some time, if done right.

I have every belief that Christopher will get it done right, as he’s a heck of a storyteller. For anyone who’s given this series of books a chance, then they know magic is not only in the story, but he’s used some himself in the creation of it. You can’t NOT like it once you’ve immersed yourself in the story. You don’t want to put the book down, and people will be binging on this series!
