The only way to tell a story, the only way to create characters, moments, interactions, and meanings is to simply give in, let go, and surrender to the story. It wants out, through you or through someone else. It will find a way, like that chest-bursting alien baby we all know and dread. Or it will haunt you, torture you, guilt you, and condemn you, before it finally leaves you and curses another with its poisoned kiss of everlasting truth and effervescent ecstasy.
