One of the many figures from the past I wish I had met is ALFONSO T. ONGPIN (1885-1975), pioneering art dealer, art restorer, antiquarian, and Rizalist.
Here photographed in his Quiapo home in the 1950's surrounded by an exceptional Rizaliana collection that included: a piece of the coat Rizal wore to his execution, Rizal's tsinelas embroidered by Leonor Rivera, a first edition of Rizal's Noli me tangere inscribed to Felix Resurreccion Hidalgo.
