Harry Potter ebooks are now available for direct purchase for the Nook ereader, and http://www.pottermore.com/ for other ereaders, including the Kindle.

Man, it is ABOUT TIME.

To buy on Kindle: $7.99. To buy in paperback at Amazon: $6.71. And there is always Half-Price…

Pricing for ebooks is a complicated issue that is going to be that way for a long time. It is not a completely found and free revenue stream to authors or publishers.

For some, the convenience of an ebook is going to trump a physical copy—for example, I am on the road and in airports and on planes constantly. Having the whole set on one small device would be immensely handy for me.
