Hunger Games summed up.

When the world ended, a new one was made,
For the few thousand humans who remained.
Those in power were greedy and selfish,
Divided people among districts on their own wish.

North America turned into the country of Panem,
Under the president,
who was deadlier than snake venom.
The districts were in number thirteen,
Towards them, the Capitol was extremely mean. 

They lived a life of comfort and riches,
While treating the districts like they were nasty witches.
Naturally, a district started a revolution,
To which the Capitol found the ultimate solution.

Showed Panem who had the most power,
Killed District 13, with a bombing shower.
 The Hunger Games was the punishment,
Which the 12 districts had to play for Capitol's entertainment.

Each district would select two tributes,
24 will be the total contributes.
They'll fight each other to death,
Till only one remains with their dying breath. 

In the 74th Hunger Games, a turn of events was seen,
For, district 12 had Peeta and Katniss Everdeen. 
They showed the Capitol that they weren't their minions,
With their act of love which turned out brilliant.

A revolution started with their act of rebellion,
To go against the Capitol became an obsession. 
The Capitol in return held the 75th Hunger Games,
In which the tributes were the ones who had already played. 

Peeta came up with a saddening story,
To make the whole of Panem feel sorry.
 Katniss was pregnant with his baby,
Going to play for their deaths was a father and his lady. 

He sprinkled oil in the fire,
Against the Capitol, people started to conspire.
Katniss was rescued from the games,
While at Capitol, Peeta was retired.

District 13 was found to be alive,
Together everyone fought to thrive. 
Katniss became the Mockingjay,
To correct the system, she found a way. 

Peeta was rescued, President was killed, and Without division, A new society was built.
