I'm sorry to hear about your friends. I hope those with Covid pull through ok. That family of viruses is quite tenacious; I hope someday we can stop the Whack-a-Mole game we're having to play to get control of it. The month away sounds exactly what you need right now, and if you don't get your writing projects done, it's ok. Just enjoy the minutes and the beautiful spaces in your life.
