Flashback: The Unexpected Dream
When I started thinking about The Sports Series, I knew the sports I wanted to write about, but not the characters or plots yet.
Always More was easy because it was my favorite sport, and I knew I wanted it to end at the 2020 Olympics, where Team USA would win their first gold medal. (Which actually happened later!)
With The Unexpected Dream, I had a chance to do something similar since softball was back in the Games for 2020. (They lost to Japan in the final instead of winning, so I got 1 out...
