What do you want readers to feel at the end of the book? What message do you want the reader to take with them?
A sense of release, hope, but also dread for what is yet to come. My Heart is The Tempest is about many different topics combined together – bullying, oppression, revenge, magic – but it is first and foremost about the path leading to a peculiar kind of awakening called “witchcraft”. In my view, if you are a witch, something disturbing may either come your way or be triggered by your actions. You can’t escape it. So, dear readers, expect both empowerment and utter darkness. Expect an ending which may feel controversial or morally grey, and please remember that if characters behave in a certain way, it’s because there is no other way for them to act, and for things to unfold.
