It is crazy that I had to drive all the way from Makati to Angeles yesterday, to check out books in "the Ambeth Ocampo Collection in Holy Angel University." Also surveyed the John Larkin Papers at the Center for Kapampangan Studies for future research. Afterwards posed for the obligatory souvenir photo with CKS founding Director Robby Tantingco, Cavite food historian Ige Ramos, and Rufino Cardinal Santos who was born on a site once owned by my great grandmother in Guagua.
