“Hungry for Change”

Yesterday I was able to watch this DVD online , it is free until March 31st. www.HungryForChange.tv/online-premiere
It is well done…watch it this week for yourself. Here are some tidbits I picked up:
• 80% of all processed food has MSG (lots of different names for this additive)
• Manufacturers want you to keep eating their products so they intend for them to be addictive (hence, the addition of MSG). And fructose is also very addictive and added to many processed foods (even pasta sauce!).
• Artificial sweeteners cause carb cravings and lead to weight gain
• “Fat doesn’t make you fat; sugar makes you fat.”
• Aloe vera detoxes [I have it in my yard and added it to my shake today!]; also great are parsley and cilantro
• Most people are overfed and undernourished
• Important words of wisdom, “If you’re upset, don’t eat!”
• Stress hormones are like steroids and cause weight gain.
• Ways to digest stress hormones include getting enough sleep, exercise, and laughter.
• Visualization [I cover this in my book] is a way to talk to the subconscious. Find a picture of yourself the way you want to look.
• Learn to love yourself. If you say “I accept myself unconditionally right now” twice a day for 30 days, by day 28 you will be believing it!
