How do you write?

I don't know how you write, but I knock something out and then go back through and add, add, add and modify! It drives my editor crazy! Mmwahahaha! :)

So give me some comment luv and tell me the method to your madness! How do you write?

Laura Anderson I wrote my first draft in November- for Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month- if you haven't done it, do it! It's amazing!). About 2,300 words per day (I started a week late) and ended up with a 51,000 word 1st draft.
It was such a rush! Had no life for the month of November, but it was so worth it. Like Dori, it was "Just keep writing, just keep writing," and I didn't let myself go back and edit ANYTHING during that first draft.
Now, after two full revisions it's about 67,000 words and being shipped out to agents!

Caron Rider Way to go! That is fantastic! I've never heard anything about it, so I'll check it out. My editor doesn't like me going back to "add" more, he just wants me to change grammar, punctuation, etc. But I have to fill in and modify and change. It drives him nuts! :)
