Lindsay is in the hospital after being shot. Quinn is back at "O" Division, writing his report, when his best friend, Bryce comes up to find out what happened during the operation, and about the woman who was shot:
He refused to tell Bryce that any girl he'd kissed since their time together caused him to vomit and ruin the mood, or that he suspected he had bonded to Lindsay for life due to his alien ancestry.
"What did you do to hurt her anyway?" Bryce asked.
"Fuckin' nosy tonight, aren't we?"
"I'm just curious. You've never talked about her before. So, what did you do?"
