We are finishing a year--the twenty-fourth bi-monthly post in The Ides of Mark. It has been an eventful year. On the heels of the publication of
Why I Believe
we saw the release of
The Essential Guide to Time Travel
, and followed this with the new edition of
Do You Trust Me?
So a lot has gone into print in a short time. I am considering what should go that route next, but everything at the moment is too preliminary.
Meanwhile, the second half of April has not been barren. We had six more chapters of In Verse Proportion , 85 through 90 continuing the stories for Bob Slade, Joe Kondor, and Derek Brown. Meanwhile, the Christian Gamers Guild recovered an article I wrote for the Daedalus e-zine twenty years ago and republished it as RPG-ology #53: In the Spirit of Radio , making suggestions for how role playing game designers can learn from the challenges radio faced with the rise of television. The Bible study continued with John 19:8 through 17, and included Musings: Sheep , about whether they really are as stupid as people say, and Musings: Missteps , about what we think are mistakes sometimes putting us exactly where we need to be.
As the month was reaching its end, I rather abruptly composed mark Joseph "young" web log post #444: Ability versus Personality , an indictment of popularity-based talent shows and best books lists. Meanwhile, I continued setting up Con Verse Lea for publication, and have drafted articles for Faith in Play and RPG-ology to carry me through March, so progress is being made.
