Apologies for being MIA!
Hello, Write Edge readers! My deepest, deepest apologies for being MIA recently. I’ve been knee-deep in deadlines — some work related, some self-imposed — and there are, unfortunately, only so many hours in the day. I guess I could give up sleeping, but I don’t think anyone wants to see the loopy version of me on here. Writing is hard enough as it is!
I am back, however, and fully intend to keep to the regular schedule. Of course, that doesn’t mean the deadlines have gone away, but it’s important to me to stay in touch here with all of you. So for the moment, I’m ignoring the deadlines (only for a few minutes, don’t worry) and talking to you again.
It’s the last Monday of the month, which means time for our writers’ showcase. I’m always blown away by the writing that I share here. So much talent out there! It’s encouraging and a little intimidating — but mostly encouraging — all at the same time. Find out what pieces really touched my heart by going now to The Write Edge Writing Workshop!
In the middle of the week, I’ll share a brand new book review with you. Last week saw the release of Not Your Child by Lis Angus. Come back on Wednesday to find out what I thought about this new thriller. You’ll get that review on The Write Edge Bookshelf!
And the end of this week is going to be a busy one. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that I’ll be able to post new Instagram posts, a new Growth Chart, and a new Biblio Breakdown on Friday. I’ll keep you posted on all of it.
Thanks for your patience and understanding, readers! Remember to take care of each other and then yourselves.
Have a wonderful day and week!
E.R.G.
